Question about the Feb 25 Barco Hearing

It appears from what I heard and from Moore's own blog that he was at the hearing on Feb 25th.

Does anyone have an opinion as to whether his presence was necessary for that particular hearing? I was always under the impression that was the job for the attorney unless his presence was absolutely required. ???
