Another possible explanation- The odds are turning in favor of positive returns from here. More buyers than sellers with some possible piling on at the ask-very simple.

Are we all supposed to sit still and wait for fully substantiated news before buying or selling? I don't know about you but I have been on the losing end of a few gap ups on substantiated news. It's much better to buy before news as we all know.
