Someone who doesn't read my posts said today that it doesn't matter what is posted here as far as the share price goes because one only has to look at the BOD performance over the last 5 or so years as interpreted by the SEC filings to see why we are where we are share price wise. Well, you can't argue with the fact that results have been disappointing the last few years. However, is that the only thing that affects share price? Based on his argument you would think so. However, if that were the case, wouldn't that mean that every stock price should be based on some empirical formula linked to the financial information contained in the SEC filings? I'm sure I could find some stocks out there that are trading much better than PTSC whose SEC filings show results worse than PTSC's. We all know that there are more things that affect share price than just the SEC filings and the results they show.
So I would ask you all just one thing - do you think constant negative posting here is more likely to have a negative affect on the share price, or a positive affect. It's really that simple. Would we be trading at 12 cents instead of 8 cents if the posts didn't constantly berate the BOD? I don't think anyone knows the answer to that. But I think common sense tells you that it's possible that the price would be better off without the negative posting. It certainly would be assinine to argue that it's had a positive affect.
I read an article on a stock I owned a long time ago where the author was absolutely convinced that message board posting was affecting the trading of the stock. I forget the specifics of why he thought that, but bottom line is, to categorically eliminate that possibility does not seem right. If anyone wants to look for the article, the stock was Actrade. I don't believe it trades anymore. In fact, I believe it ended up that the bashers were right. But that's not the point here. The point is that message board posted affected the trading of the stock.
