I don't believe this is the point of contention here. Problem is when asked if Stan received compensation for approving MA, he replied, "I do not recall that being the case".

So yes, Brian is 100% correct IMO, but Stan should have just been more forthcoming on what transpired. He would have more credibility in my book.
