I have yet to see evidence of incentive to purchase licenses. Contrary to management promises, licenses have not gone up. There has been no end to "early mover" discounts. In fact, it seems as though license amounts have decreased, although that could just be from going after the smaller, lower hanging fruit.
There has been no competitive disadvantage experienced by the "hundreds of companies on notice" that haven't bought a license. All the devices on my desk and on my person continue to function despite being microprocessor-based.
The only thing that could be considered a win is the capitulation of all companies on which the MMP has a claim. And even then, if it is mere nuisance money it's a hollow victory.
