Ron and all, After these last several weeks of reading this board every day, and shaking my head in amusement, I think that a point no one seems to consider is that this BOD is made up of the "good ole boys (and girl) clique. I think usually, the board of most small companies consists of people who can bring their expertise in the field the company is involved with. Some of those who have been added and since departed were there for that reason. Most of the original BOD are not there because of expertise in the field.
Another important distinction between our board and others is that usually, board members consist of large shareholders. When Buffet or Ichan sit on a board it is because they have purchased millions or billions of dollars of stock in the company. Our board also fits this bill but, many of these BOD's received most of their shares for free so they don't really have a dog in the fight, other than to hope the stock appreciates so they can cash in. Yes some have purchased the stock but many here own more than most of the BOD.
When one here suggested (I believe it was Laurie) that one of our members from this community here be put on the BOD it was rejected by some. Why wouldn't our largest shareholders want to protect their hard earned and invested dollars? Conspiracy theories aside, If I were the largest $ investor in this stock, which I'm far from being, I think after seeing what has transpired here these last few years, I would be very nervous and would love to sit on the board to make sure things were being run to protect shareholder interests.
Understanding that even if one of our own were put on the board, he or she would be bound by confidentiality clauses etc. but I would feel that at least they would be fighting for our cause.
