Your wonderful post throws up an interesting question:

Every intelligent person knows what he can change in a situation. If this situation cannot be changed - at least not with reasonable "tools" or without hurting oneself's investment - it leads to the question why this person and the persons associated with him continue to try to persuade others that things will "simply" get better with a change of BoD members or bylaws et al.
