Please clarify "1. Limited Posting" How many is limited?

A few months ago, at the HL Forum, I made a suggestion to define and update Mail Room Rank. My thoughts were welcomed by many HL's, as it was by Agoracom, but nothing has changed.

I also suggested that Member Ratings should not be allowed until reaching Treasurer Rank, to help reduce malicious 1 star votes by returning banned members who have an axe to grind with others, or new members, who just joined for the 1st time, voting before having ample opportunity to determine the contribution/value a poster is to the forum. Voting "blind" is of no value either, IMO.

Unlimited Post Recommendations is harmless, thus I suggested no changes.

Please clarify "2. Limited Report Violations." How many is limited? This is also an area where new members for the 1st time, or returning banned members can be malicious as well.

I am taking an interest in this topic, as a HL at 2 other forums. The suggestions made here to limit posting is an excellent way to reduce spam, and I applaud those who contributed their views. I read here often, post seldom, and if this spamming stuff is happening here, it will spread, and none of the hundreds of forums needs it. As Redd Foxx always said, "NIP IT IN THE BUD."

Agoracom management has always been appreciative of member contributions to fine tune and tweak on occasion, what works well, but could also be improved from time to time, and this is definately one of those times.
