I believe Henneman is a contracted patent law firm, Henneman and Associates LLC.
Why would DL want a recert of the '336 ASAP? Because, IMO, that SHOULD open the doors to licensing (as I believe there are at least some potential licensees on "stand by" awaiting confirmation one way or the other to justify the expenditure for a license), and at higher rates. With revenues flowing, DL/TPL would be in a position to buy their way out of a lot of their current headaches (loans from PTSC, monies owed CM/settlement money).
Also, Henneman probably has a large vested interest in success, as his fees (or a portion thereof) may be contingent on success (incentive for best effort).
JMHOs. Now to get ready for another day in court - I got tagged for jury duty.
