Reposting my prior message to see if there has been consideration/answers. Been away for a couple of days and trying to catch up, saw a couple of posts ``on the fringe`` of answers, but nothing definitive. So:

Was I right (Moxa) about mixing Moores and Fishies?

Does the discussion of Moore`s lack of prior efforts make sense and ring true?

Were all the parties involved in prior ``transactions`` regarding the patent ``very stupid``?

Do others believe as I that Intel`s competitors are watching and thinking?

Here`s that prior post:

I may be wrong, but to my recollection Moore had no involvement in the prior efforts of Fish to regain ownership in the Texas/So.Cal cases. So (Moxa, please correct me if I`m wrong), I think Moxa is mixing up his Fishies and Moores. It was Fish and only Fish (or his Trust/beneficiaries) involved in those prior litigations, as I recall. However, the absense of Moore in those litigations may prove useful in current litigations, as he (at that time - again, to my recollection) exerted no efforts to defend any patent rights he now is pursuing/assuming. I`m open to correction about Moore`s prior efforts, or absense thereof....

And Moxa does make a strong point in the post to which I`m referring, i.e., why would Nanotronics (and later PTSC) be interested in acquiring Fish`s patents if they thought that Moore truly shared ownership? The patents had little value if it were suspected that there may be an eventually outcome as we`re witnessing today. Dumb lawyers representing Nanotronics, and later PTSC? This just stirs the pot a little moore! If Moore`s name was on the patents (probably was....) AND there was consideration that Moore truly had shared rights, seems to me that:

1) Moore would have been aware and assured protection of his rights (and the fact that he didn`t to my recollection, is very telling).

2) Nanotronics would have been talking/negotiating with Moore before making their deal with Fish.

3) PTSC would have been talking/negotiating with Moore before making their deal with Nanotronics.

OR

4) All these parties were very stupid!

Looks like it`ll be a long time till all this shakes out.... Or Intel (or one of their deep-pocket competitors) could take a bold step soon. Gotta believe that AMD and others are watching events here as they unfold, and could cease the opportunity to bring Intel to its knees. If I were king of Intel, I think my knees would be shaking in anticipation! Bring on the bidding war!
