You should add to Board 2:
* Members must never question the management of this message board, and applaud actions to retain posts which clearly violate the rules and the reporting/warning and elimination of posts which question the management of this board.
And here I must say that some people just don't get it....
I know of no poster who doesn't question/crticize the actions of PTSC's BoD/management. The problem has to do with some making the assumption that everyone is stupid, and therefore must be constantly reminded of the failures (in hindsight) of the BoD/management. The other problems along these lines is the exageration of those failures and declaring wrongdoing with little to no evidence of same.
With regard to one of the latest criticisms: lack of a transcript/Web cast of the AMS. Not one person has stated that they are happy with this lack of transparency. All that has been said is that they didn't HAVE TO do it. The bad news was contained in the 10Q. The statements regarding future intent are not reportable per SEC regs.
But really, is there any surprise? As soon as they advised that the AMS was to be held in Chicago (met by criticism by the vast majority - both "camps"), we surmised that the message re: past performance would not be a happy one. IMO, the only surprise is that they weren't more proactive in promulgating their future intent, of which I've seen little to no criticism as it is presently, via reports and Gloria's email, understood.
I suggested that their "fessing up" was a good move, and far better than what I suspect most naysayers expected - a bunch of excuses (while several valid excuses are readily available, i.e., the sluggish PTO). Somehow this minor observation is exagerated to suggesting that "SGE says the BoD is doing a bang-up job". Never happened.
I've pointed to the many times I've criticized management, verifiable via archives here. Yet I continue to be a target for "consistently defending the BoD's every move". Clearly not true. Lies.
Perhaps I should amend your proposed rules to match reality:
Board 1 called . . . . PTSC 1 - Know what you own:
- members will not be allowed to question anything that the BOD does more than once a week per issue.
- everyone agrees that the low SP is not "helped" by those that question company management & the BOD on a constant basis, repeating the exact same complaints over and over - 25 times if opposed, 10 if not opposed.
- Some consternation regarding USPTO timeframes is acceptable and completely reasonable, but only needs stating no more frequently than suggested by the first bullet item because this is another thing that everyone here KNOWS and doesn't need to be reminded of.
- Positive posts regarding the hundreds of companies and millions of dollars still out there for settlement are expected, because this is a probable reality, assuming you have any faith in the MMP - which everyone here DOES. Exagerations and blatant "pumping" on this point is not permitted.
- members may question other posters in a civil fashion towards a constructive debate, and may question the management of this board.
- When offering an opinion or speculation, posters must back up what they are suggesting with facts or a reasonable thought process justifying the conclusion.
- members are encouraged to openly acknowledge when they are wrong, regardless of who discovers the error (themselves or others), and apologize to the board when appropriate.
- Posts that violate the above will result in violations of TOS and banishment to Board 2.
Board 2 called . .. . PTSC 2 - Despite what you own:
- members are allowed/even encouraged to question company management and BOD decisions and exagerate their impact to the extreme as frequently as possible, because it is assumed that all posters here are aflicted with severe memory loss regarding anything that may affect the investment of their hard-earned money. Exagerations, repeated frequently enough, become "reality".
- cheerleading of any kind - tied to positive news on earnings, settlements etc or not - is strictly forbidden.
- BOD defenders who attempt to clarify and/or do a "reality check" on discussion or criticism of management /BOD will not be tolerated, even if they themselves freely criticize BoD/management when appropriate.
- members are encouraged to avoid intelligent discussion/debate of the input of others, but rather to attack any poster voicing a conflicting view. Never, ever debate what was posted with any logic/reasonableness, just attack the poster or try to confuse the issue by questioning the meaning of words like "future intent", "currently" and "dedicate more resources", because such words are so open to interpretation. Follow up by lying about what the poster with a conflicting view actually said. (the latter NOT directed at LL).
- Commend posters of similar mindset when they point out the obvious, regardless of the fact that what is posted is something everyone knows or has figured out for themselves, and the new post is simply "late to the party". Also commend posts that clearly violate the rules/TOS and state things that are completely wrong.
- Posts that violate the above will result in violations of TOS and banishment to Board 1.
IMO, this is a far better depiction of the reality here. And wouldn't it be something? Actually, the two boards you suggest already exist with one clarification: Board 1 could be Agora, and Board 2 is RB/Yahoo.
JMHOs. You posted yours, I posted mine.
