PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Purpose

End 6/30/09
Resources
Existing positions (court, UA, NLECTC) approximately 3 hours/week/position
Sponsor:
MAJIC Steering Group
Project Manager: Alan McKelvie
BUSINESS NEED
A preliminary step to automate data exchange is to document current practice: data forms/elements/definitions,
triggering events, agencies involved, etc. MAJIC needs a repository of documentation to allow for re-use of
information across projects, to avoid duplicating effort, and to help each agency understand the documentation by
using a standardized approach. MAJIC has free software and training from SEARCH to accomplish this, but needs
to learn/test/evaluate the software by using it on some exchanges. This is a pilot to test/evaluate JIEM 4.1 as well
as providing MAJIC with a repository of data exchange documentation.
