I actually agree with a lot of what you say. A bit excessive in some of your characterizations though, IMO.
One tweak to your opening line:
"There is nothing this company should be focused on besides the MMP."
to
"There is nothing that investors in this company should be focused on besides the MMP."
The rest, i.e., PDSG, is what it is. I don't believe I've ever said different. The ONLY thing there is that Holocom could end up making some decent money, and the rest could perhaps get back the amount dumped in if sold. I NEVER liked the idea of acquisitions/mergers/start-ups/investments of this sort - way too much risk, no PTSC people truly astute of the tech/market, long time needed to turn a profit, if ever. Check my posting history.
I've always considered PDSG a side show. The total money involved is small in comparison with what the MMP should bring. Whether the money dumped in was "squandered" is TBD. Depends on what we get out of them, soon or over time. If we end up with a net profit, the money wasn't squandered. If we end with a net loss, take that amount less tax benefits, and that's the amount that could be considered "squandered", IMO.
But declaring it "squandered" NOW is a bit premature. Measure the final results, then pass judgment. And then also look and consider the amount. I won't be too surprised if the net amount is a $1-2M loss (ignoring probable future income from Holocom). Then compare that to total revenues, admittedly from the MMP. Though a net loss is bad, would a loss of that size cause heart failure? I'd find it hard to get too excited about it. A foul up? Yes. Terminal foul up? No. Did they do something about it? Yes. Will it happen again? Hope not - and I hope they've learned a lesson. Was it the BoD's fault (assuming net loss)? Ultimately, Yes - we'll finally have something truly solid to complain about. What will people do on the off chance there's a net profit? LOL
But the 10Q and PDSG are what they are. It's not bashing to tell it like it is. No problem here, unless you are compelled to repeat it 25 times. But ridiculous statements like "this BoD squandered ALL the income from the MMP" is reckless bashing.
JMHOs,
