CASEY: DECADE OF CONFLICT AND CHANGE
Just because there’s dancing and lights, doesn’t mean news can’t be made at the NVTC’s TechCelebration. Last night at the Tysons Ritz, Army Chief of Staff George Casey said the military is in a period of fundamental and continuous change, not unlike the technology community, and is working to become more versatile. |

General Casey said the country is looking at a decade or so of persistent conflict and facing the longest war fought by an all-volunteer military, surpassing the American Revolution a few months ago. He doesn't see China as a current threat, but noted they still use the image of American tanks during target practice: “More than ever, we need to be aware of how the world perceives us.”

The great Dan Bannister of Bannister Enterprises and Eclat’s Greg Baroni. Contrary to popular opinion, Dan wasn’t the founder of DynCorp, but “I was there 50 years, and no one is old enough to remember otherwise.” And a little rumor: You might see these two together again . . . soon. (You read it here first.)
