I am really out of my comfort zone on this but here goes:
First of all, does anyone know for sure if a stockholder proposal can be submitted at this late date for consideration at the annual meeting in January.
If it can be included, then may I suggest that our legal experts review the stockholder proposal of the NuCor proxy (see pages 36 and 37). I'm guessing that they have already paid legal experts to draft this for them. Why couldn't we use it and make the necessary changes (i.e company name change) and avoid having to fork out money for someone else to draft the same thing.
I would also like to see included in this stockholder proposal a vote for a bylaw change to reflect a fixed term for each board member. Maybe we could even vote on making it retroactive and force the current long time directors into retirement.
Maybe I am just grasping here but at least I'm trying to work through the possibilities. Let's see if there is something we can do. If not this year, then next year. I will give of my time to help with anything to include making phone calls and or research.
