IMO... they can not 'afford' to have PTSC solely a collector and distributor of MMP revenues... for if that were the case, then as you have stated, there truely would be no need at all for a BoD... and therefore their reward$ for being a 'working Board' would go away.. they would lose this particular gravey train... IMO that is the reason they are so desparate to try to figure something else for PTSC to evolve into.. Ignite fulfilled that role for a while but is now history.. the MMP revs could be managed/audited by one or two people... IMO they need something else to justify their existence and continued pay.
Of course they would spin it as a fall back for retail shareholders just in case the patents were found invalid.. and they would have a point.. to a degree.. but the results (at least for me) would have been the same regardless...
