I feel for her. I was in Tax hell for ten years because of illeal deductions made by a former business partner. The stress can be unbearable. The interest keeps up and even though you make payments on time they will seize your funds from the bank, which in turn makes checks bounce, which in turns creates new bills for each bounced check. I cashed in IRA's to help pay back taxes, I then had to pay penalties and more taxes. it just seems as though it will never end. Fortunately, I never lost my home and was able to recover, but it took ten years....20 years off my life.
