I believe unfounded opinions such as yours regarding the "hassle" of flying into and out of Chicago in January are what will sway people from attending the SHM, but the truth is it is no more a hassle than any other time of the year. I travel from Chicago on business year round, including January. I have never experienced any more trouble, such as delayed flights, in Chicago as compared to any other airport around the country. Delays happen for numerous reasons, and I have spent many hours waiting in John Wayne airport in Orange County, CA, for maintenance to clear my plane for the flight back to Chicago. I have never in my 30-year professional career heard of a company not allowing travel to Chicago in January. Ridiculous. Chicago is headquarters to so many Fortune 500 companies, companies who apparently consider the weather to be a non-issue.

Peddling panic on the speculation of bad weather in Chicago is as irresponsible as speculating that PTSC will go to $10 on news of the re-certs.
