(Taken from Sharholder meeting notes 2007)
485 companies have been put on written notice that they are likely infringing on one or more patents in the MMP portfolio.
Over 300 of those companies have revenues exceeding $1 billion per year, and over 220 of the companies put on notice have responded.
Alliacense conducted 265 customer meetings starting in January of 2006 through the time of this presentation.
They met with 81 companies, which resulted in 16 licenses being signed in the 22 industry sector licensing categories as of the time of this presentation
How do you conduct 265 meetings and only meet with 81 companies?
If 265 meetings produces 16 Licenses.....how many can be expected out of the 485 companies put on notice? Perhaps most of those companies were waiting for the re-certification to take place. Wouldn't you wait if your company had to fork out a sizeable chunk of money for infringing? If that is the case, then maybe the wave coming is not ankle to knee but more tsunami in size. Been waiting for over three years .....patience and cautious optimism prevail. GLTAL
