I`m in agreement with virtually everything you are saying (which may not be a good thing at this moment!), except the conclusion you lead me to. Assuming Intel is pissed at or at least suspicious of Moore/TPL, and they know it (which is probably a safe assumption in light of the recent fraud indictment), isn`t that just a more compelling reason for Moore/TPL to want to settle with PTSC ASAP (and under terms where Intel`s license is in tact and viable)? That could instantly resolve all the issues. Then they go after everybody else cooperatively. Am I making sense?
And wouldn`t all this (as addressed in one of my posts recently) just be more fuel to the overall fire (maybe the catalyst)? Seems it definitely gives PTSC the upper hand (if Moore/TPL fears Intel). And I equate ``upper hand`` to PTSC demanding a greater percentage of split royalties from future ``other`` licensees (assuming the settlement involves some sort of cooperative pursuit of other infringers). I personally can`t see how a settlement would only involve ``the past``, but would probably address handling of future actions. The ``past`` done deals are done...and Ican`t see where Moore/TPL would want their past deal with Intel to become ``undone`` (instant confession of fraud).
