WHAT is it you think is happening or not happening here?
What is happening is a purportedly groundbreaking IP claim is getting little to no notice. That is reason enough to be skeptical, or at the very least, cautious. How is it that a handful (few thousand) investors are all this story has after 3-4 years?
What is not happening is wise spending with licenses they have already received. It's been covered well enough here so I won't go into it.
WHO is the "bad actor" (if that's what it is) ?
I woldn't say there is a single "bad actor." There has been a string of ill advised President/CEOs and a board that has demonstrated that they are underqualified (except to represent their own special interests and collect checks). TPL (and later Alliacense), hostile at best to PTSC, has generated nearly all the income. Who is really at the rudder? Groener and his penny ante acquisitions? His PDSG pie chart? Does anyone really believe that PDSG has more potential for the next 10 years than the MMP?
Do you not think the Patents have the muscle to be prosecuted ?
On this I will admit I'm not sure nor do I have the legal or EE expertise to judge. The fact that they haven't been granted a decisive victory to date is worrisome but the fact that it has gone on this long indicates more than just smoke and mirrors. However, most worrisome is that it seems that with decreasing licenses and the ho-hum rate of signings (to date) far more qualified agents (corporate legal counsel) aren't convinced.
Do you not think the MMP will ultimately be successfully prosecuted and generate hundreds of millions of dollars, if not why not.
I do not know. I think it's possible but uncertainty is the killer here. It drives markets, it's keeping PTSC down, and it's keeping me skeptical.
Do you not think those revenues will translate to a higher shareprice to PTSC overtime ?
Yes, barring criminal mismangement of those revenues. And before anyone jumps on that, I don't expect any such management. But like I said, it's not a question of what the effect of the revenue will be but rather a question of whether the revenue will come.
Do you alledge some scheme of bad faith or illegality with any aspect of PTSC ?
I alledge no illegal or criminal activity. I believe that certain interests outside of PTSC act for their own benefit regardless of the damage or cost to PTSC. TPL, previous warrant holders. I believe that internally, mismangement and incompetence have played a part but none of it illegal or in bad faith.
Are you a PTSC Shareholder, a trader or long term investor ?
Yes, all of the above. I have PTSC shares. I have held shares in varing amounts continuously since roughly Q4 CY 2006. I have sold and purchased shares multiple times since then but have always held a position.
I believe the bottom line question is "What is your motivation?"
Of course I have equity positions in other (non-competing, non-related) companies. But PTSC is the only substantial OTC/BB holding. My main strategy is not OTC/BB stocks but "blue chips" and larger growth companies. Compared to other investments, say big board conglomerates or NASDAQ giants, there is relatively little news or transparency with PTSC. So I can't regularly sit down with 10 pages of news and data with PTSC like one can do with say, UTX or CBI (and believe me I do). So for PTSC I sometimes stop by Agora. There are good nuggets here occasionally. And often there is plain bad information or dangerous speculation. While I can't always provide new insights on new developments (because they are often few and far between) I feel I can still contribute by refuting the bad and dangerous.
I approach PTSC as I would any other stock. I don't hope or dream for it. The fact that I have held at least some shares for 3 years while the share price has more or less steadily declined says that I at least see a glimmer of potential. However I'm not in love with PTSC nor should anyone every fall in love with a stock. PTSC doesn't care about me, I'm not going to build a shrine to PTSC.
Hopefully that answers at least some of your questions. And hopefully the fact that I answered indicates that I'm earnest, though perhaps not exuberant, in my following of PTSC and this board.
