I suspected that the comission would be placed twice..I did not know it for a fact nor did I place the trade with that in mind. Some providers such as Schwab (I think) allow two business days for such a trade to occur/fill and charge only one comission. From an ethical point of view, I think that Schwab's policy is more fair to the end user. With that I mind, was I right to complain.?.I think so..and I don't consider myself a "whiner"..only to speak up when something occurs that does not seem right/fair to me...
The free tade, while nice, does not make up for all of the instances in the past where TD Ameritrade messed something else up with my accounts..where I was not otherwise compensated with a free trade..pehaps they looked over the history of my account and found that I was "more than due" in this regard.
