I think you made the right call. If there's no news today, Monday or Tuesday, you know what's going to happen to the SP - and you'll be ready and waiting. I think the smoke is still clearing WRT the patents and there won't be any major news for a while. JMO based on being in this stock for many years - like everyone else on this board.
