If our touted technology results in efficiencies that translate into headcount reductions of federal/state/local employees thereby resulting in overall savings to taxpayers which ultimately benefits the nation/states/municipalties, then I do not have a problem with the owners of the technology being rewarded for their risk taking and capital investment.

Further, the government should be compelled to invest in such technology even though it may result in reduced employment for those whose tendency it is to vote for more government.
