Brian makes a good point, and you do offer a possible, viable explanation for the poor guidance. And, Asia business possibilities aside, I believe we're talking primarily about business with USG enitities - an extremely unpredictable game (procurements often guided by the whims of Congress). But these are mere excuses - if the business were not more "confirmed", the prior guidance should have been provided with a bunch of caveats.
Brian expresses that he does like RG and his attributes. But it does look like there was a pretty serious blunder (and I suspect Baroni may have been retained not only to foster new business, but also to advise Re: doing business with the USG - or trying to). But some credit is due RG for retracting the erroneous guidance, though some believe the retraction could/should have been more timely.
