1) When AMD signed on with PTSC, they made it clear that they may or may not use the tech--what was interesting is that their attorney said that they ``wanted to protect themselves from Intel``--I assumed that they meant that IF Intel took over PTSC, they would be protected from law suits.
2) We all know that Intel has been working on a dual processor.
3) We all know that Intel licensed from TPL.
4) We all know that the patent needs to be owned by one co. in order to price it fairly and avoid cut throat deals.
5) We all know that TPL has made us a low ball offer.
6) LG or JW told me that Intel`s license with TPL has a cloud on it. ( I don`t know if this has prevented them from announcing the dual or not).
7) We all know that Intel has said that a dual processor will be available sometime this year.
8)We all know that AMD and Intel are arch rivals.
9) We all know that AMD is getting some real attention since they came out with the dual first.
IMHO, all of these things look like we may see something from Intel. It may come through TPL, but, it is to satisfy Intel in the long run. I know that if I were Intel and my arch rival was eating my lunch, I would be in a hurry to get the situation resolved.
As others have mentioned, we will probably hear something next week. I hope we do anyway. Intel is LATE to the market with theirs--they should have come to us first! Good luck, ads
