Looks to me like TPL and PTSC in 2006 thought they had the goose that lays the golden eggs. IMO they thought the money and licenses would be a steady stream. PTSC's management squandered some of the revenue when they payed out the dividends. They used to talk pretty tough about the patents and infringers as well. IMO PTSC and TPL underestimated the power of these large corporations and the road blocks they could throw in front of the MMP. As far as I can tell the USPTO system of reexamining patents is broken. Another example of a government beurocracy that dosn't work very well. This has played into the infringers hands as they feel they can just wait out TPL. So far these large corporations have been very successful in possibly bringing TPL to it's knees financially, if what Moore is saying is factual. The real question now is how long can TPL hold out before it is broke and unable to continue operating to go after these infringing companies? We've heard of a few licenses come in but it may not be enough to keep TPL funded to go after these companies. Perhaps a sign that TPL is in trouble is if they start laying off personnel? Is there any way we could find this information?
As far as PDSG is concerned I figured with the government involved that the process would go slow of spending our childrens future, I mean the stimulous. Looks like we have to hunker down for awhile as it may be a rough ride. We're at the mercy of the government for both the patents and PDSG.
For those that voted for big government because the guy was articulate and smart, well I think your going to find that bigger government is going to work alot like the USPTO does now. Hope and change we can all believe in.
Lots of luck to us as it looks like we're going to need it in our investment and in our country.
Lamberts I still think your tounge in cheek comment about a crap shoot on this investment is right on the money.
Still holding long and trying to remain somwhat positive,
