Just finished reading it a second time. Not much more to add other than what I already posted.
However, about all those additional claims? The general feeling I get is that they represent some anticipation that just because info is in the specification it doesn't follow that the examiner will not find vagueness in the claims. Seems they have hit that snag before. Hence and additional 24 (or whatever the number) claims.
Obviously, those claims can't add anything new, so nothing but clarifying detail on a grand scale. IMHO Opty
