Mark:
Look at Visionair. They are in the Justice and public safety market, too.
I also suggest to all posters that feel the Vigilys acquisition was just an antiquated, useless technology, to think a little out of the box. With the Crossflo CORE technology that PTSC has (facilitating data sharing between myriad DISPARATE systems), and their personnel on staff regarding software engineering expertise in that field, I doubt that the Vigilys software will just be slapped on top of CDX. Rather, I humbly suggest that they will merge the two to provide those first responders access to an array of information that has been assembled into a package of the most relevant information that is targeted toward supporting their specific immediate needs in the field, i.e., leveraging the strength of CDX for delivery via the strengths of Vigilys. Put another way, Crossflo's CDX and its ability to deal semantically with data queries will make Vigilys more powerful and relevant as a tool for first responders than Kratos, alone, ever could have. In my opinion, Kratos selling Vigilys was a no brainer for them because they did not perceive value in it, but RG, in adding it to Crossflo's palate of product services, saw the potential to increase the strength of Crossflo. This is, of course, my opinion.
BTW, some have posted about one Crossflo employee, Joseph Mierwa. With a little DD, you will find that he was employed by Visionair prior to moving to Crossflo.
Good luck to us all.
Cheers,
DG
