While Pfizer was challenging this decision, they were also litigating in Europe.

Subsequent to the Spanish court confirming validity, the EPO did the same.

Looking further back, the Court of Appeal in the Netherlands declared the patent (EP 409,281) invalid. An appeal was made.

In answer to your question, the European patent is still valid, with Germany recently reconfirming its validity there. To say anything more with any degree of certainty would be impossible as can be seen with the complexity of the Lipitor case.
