I wrote this about two years ago in our german messaging board, but think, it might help to discover the connections between all these players in this game.
Let's start with Scripps:

As you can see, the Sripps family was and is very active - both in newspaper business (http://www.scripps.com/heritage/hist... and healthcare (http://www.scripps.org/about-us__who...
Thus it's no wonder, the former CEO of Peregrine (you remember the company, where Swartz and Pohl are directors?) was Dr. Thomas Waltz "...Chairman and CEO of the Scripps Clinic from 1991-2000 and President of the Scripps Clinic Medical Group from 1990-2000..."

Scripps Ventures was a subsidary from Scripps Media (if I remember correctly Scripps ventures is now United Media (http://www.unitedmedia.com/ and http://pressreleases.scripps.com/rel...
Now as we all know, Iameter co-founder Mr. Mohlenbrock was working at Scripps Memorial Hospital for more than 25 years (http://www.iameter.com/iameterAboutU...
What some of you might not know is, that John Burns from Holocom was at SYS Technologies (http://www.polexis.com/) and that Scripps Ventures was invested in SYS Technologies (http://www.secinfo.com/d12Pk6.v58w.h...
It's no secret however, the CEO from Crossflo, Mr. Senn, was founder of Holocom.
My assumption is, that Swartz was and is much more deeper in PTSC as we all think (and know) - maybe that's the reason, why Mr. Johnson is still on board of PTSC and in such an important position.
