Very succinct post Brian.
The business paradigms need to change and will, but yes, the race has to play itself out to see who will be the dominant partner in what I`m beginning to expect will be unification (drats to dued for seeming to be in the right direction at this point). I thnk Patriot telegraphed their play with Ober and announcement of Sales staff.
So, what big players are left that we can snag? - MOT, ARMHY, TI? Specialty houses?
It will take royalty revenues to win hearts and minds, but also may take a chunk of shares to close it. If we can`t close bigger customers at our $ royalty targets, we have to at least starve off TPL from getting the wins.
Securing the real estate, so to speak.
The battle may never be won in the courts, but perhaps in the sales calls with each customer, where they might get a chance to hear both TPL`s and PTSC story, then go with the better ``argument`` in an attempt to at least secure best assurance the pound of flesh they give to one or the other won`t be overturned (and renegotiated upward) at a later date, if they ever do go to the courts.
With a $3M kitty, I expect about 1 1/2 year burn. Patriot better close some more quick to exert strategic pressure, or at the least secure a respectable SP if they are not in the dominant negotiating position at the end of this.
The best legal team in all this may turn out to be who has the best sales force...
All JMO...
Regards.
