"I can not for the life of me figure out why people are willing to perpetuate a canard like that."
As long as there is nothing exiting happening, we can do two things: shut up or speculate. I preferred to speculate, but said this many times: it's only speculation and I like it...;-))...and btw: doesn't hurt anyone, doesn't it?
"...MMP is pretty much history."
I don't agree on this.
Please have a look at PTSC's presentation from the SHM 10/30/08:
"- Leverage MMPTM licensing proceeds for future growth
- Enhance long term shareholder value – Increase PE on MMP earnings
- MMP Licensing effort
- Active licensing program through The TPL Group (TPL)/Alliacense
- Hundreds of potential licensees have been put on notice
- Strong global licensing program with 52 licensees to date
- MMP licensing revenues through Phoenix Digital Systems (PDS) JV
- Nearly every manufacturer of microprocessor chips or electronic systems is a potential licensee of MMP technology
- Licensing activity is unpredictable ...becoming an operating company smoothes MMP revenue variability"
If the MMP would be history, this presentation would be false information, thus I guess, we can rely on the strength of the MMP and the Markman outcome from last year for the 336 and 148 didn't show something different.
