I believe the potential is high for Crossflo to participate in what appears to remain a continuing effort to expand the use of the NIEM. This link to minutes of the NIEM Executive Steering Council meeting indicates that the "DHS has committed money and staff to implement NIEM within its programs/components and believes that funding for FY09 is more than adequate to meet the needs of the entire community."

My experience with government initiatives, specifically their slow pace of progression, suggests that though the potential is there for Crossflo to be more involved in these efforts (provided they are diligent and successful in their pursuit of the implementation market), the time-line will be longer than some may desire. I, for one, am looking ahead a minimum of 1 year before the newly planted and developing PTSC tree bears fruit. RG's expectation of profitability by May-09 improves on my expectation, noting that the term "profitability" requires further qualification.
