Yes royalties would help our PPS. The original signing amount might be lower in order to get prospective licensees to agree to an ongoing payment of royalties but IMO it could help our cause on the PPS....in ths short run .
Two other things though...many may take the other avenue of licensing and say...give me the $$$$$$$$$$$ now, upfront and I'll invest them in other areas that will produce more $$$$$$$$, that approach does make sense...in fact that may be what RG and TPL are planning to do...get as much as we can upfront and put it into revenue/profit producing entities that will benefit our PPS much more in the long run that royalties spread over the next ten years or so would...only drawback is that it obviously would take longer to show that increase in earnings on an ongoing basis from the new entities....second, with most licenses being accompanied with NDA's, the chance of anyone or better yet, any potentiallly new investor, getting information of royalties forthcoming and more importantly HOW MUCH royalty may be forthcoming , would be shielded from them....this might hinder newbies from jumping in when it would be hard to ascertain future rev's/profit dfrom the licensees...the lack of informnative PR on new licenses is always a drawback...such is the nature of the beast.
