By BusinessWire
SUNNYVALE, Calif., 9-4-08, BUSINESS WIRE -- AVOT, Inc. (www.avotmedia.com), a leader in real-time transcoding and video streaming to mobile devices, announces the release of tipMotion, the first mobile streaming solution available today eliminating image breakdown or buffering during high-volume, live simultaneous streaming. AVOT's tipMotion solution just completed a historic first: successfully streaming 500 live video streams via one single RTSP feed and 1,500 Video-On-Demand streams via a dynamic bit rate and quantization adjustments.
"We have developed our streaming and transcoding technologies from the ground up for mobile devices," said DeWayne Nelon, CEO of AVOT, Inc. "That's one of the reasons we are able to achieve these stellar breakthroughs."
The patented AVOT tools developed for mobile video are designed for media content providers and wireless carriers to satisfy their customers' mobile video needs for live broadcasts and prerecorded content with the fastest, most reliable mobile video service on the market today. AVOT solutions seamlessly resolve 3G to 2G hand-offs, run on any video capable phone, are device agnostic and support more than 200 handsets -- more than any other provider. A recent blind 6,000 handset survey -- including antique phones -- resulted in a 75% success rate with AVOT solutions.
