Have no idea what happened with the body of my post.....
When I read the business wire report on our new investment banker it came with a current share price of........
CARLSBAD, Calif., Aug 20, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Patriot Scientific Corporation (PTSC:
0.24, -0.01, -4.1%) today announced that it has engaged Imperial Capital, LLC., Los Angeles, Calif., as its financial advisor to assist the Company in identifying, and negotiating, potential acquisition targets and to provide general financial advisory services related to possible future acquisitions.
How ironic that a bb/otc company that just hires a financial advisor investment banker is selling for less then a quarter a share. Of course that could be a result of having 400 million shares outstanding or there abouts which gives us a cap of just under 100 million dollars. A valuation I am not sure even covers our current value not even taking into account forward looking numbers or events.
Of course we have questions regarding our chief assets, our patents and their validity and the fact that nobody outside of a certain core knows about our company as we are controlled in many important ways in what we can divulge by an outside private influence (tpl). We all know tpl does not care what ptsc is valued at but could their information control which in the past when all we had was the mmp was significant be at the same strength as we progress on our path to diversification?
Lamb, here is where you come in ..... I refer to the question that we really have no idea of what we are now worth in actual dollars and cents. The fact that we currently have no long term debt and little short term debt is a good starting point but what is the real value of our current liquid assets. Cash is an easy one but marketable securities and real time value are not so easy in todays market.....
How much cash have we recently received from recent signers that have were not seen on the recent report..... what is Crossflo really worth (we have not yet heard on whether this deal has closed so I am not assuming that the 10 day avg share price period has even started..remember they have until the end of Sept to close the deal). I know what we are paying for Crossflo but what is the "real worth" when you combine it with Holcomb.... and what are they worth especially with the new deals they have just announced ...what about NuPwr, have we yet moved into a ownership stage with them and if so what is that valued at?
Without a question there is value with the MMP with or without the pto reexam finalized yet and so what is the mmp worth with a successful reexam and without?...
In addition put all of this together and what is our goodwill and potential worth. Personally I think we are way undervalued but the market to date is proving me wrong. I know what Dutton says but I do not accept their numbers but I would take it as a starting point. They have not changed their position even with our new ventures.
Lamb, can you crunch some hypothetical numbers and let us know what you think we should be looking at.
God Bless
