Pruchased vs Licensed

Patriot's investors page lists companies that purchased an MMP license as of February 2008. What possible purpose does that date serve? If purchased was not applicable to one or more companies before or subsequent to February 2008, why not just exclude them from the listing and exclude any date? It's not a complete listing anyway. Alternately, why not just exclude the term purchased?

And have people noticed that with the close of February 2008, and starting with the 3/6/08 Gerber signing pr, the phrase used to refer to all past signings is 'have licensed' as oppposed to 'have purchased'?

And is there any significance to the fact that Toshiba is included as a licensee in the 3/6/08 Gerber pr, and subsequent signing prs but not included in the investor page listing?

Is this some kind of code? Like I said, if Toshiba or anyone else did not purchase (ref the grant of a license), just exclude them from the list and don't bother with a date. Or just say something like MMP licensees to date include such industry leaders as ...... Can anyone offer some rational explanation for the inclusion of the February 2008 date on the investors page listing? Opty
