Patriot Scientific Corporation (Patriot Scientific) announced today, June 30, 2008, that Hoya Corporation (Hoya) has purchased a Moore Microprocessor PatentTM (MMP) Portfolio license from the TPL Group. Hoya is a diversified manufacturer of information technology, healthcare, and lifestyle refinement products. Hoya's Optics Division, Hoya Corporation USA Optics Division is a leading supplier of advanced optical materials and components for scientific, technology, and industrial companies throughout the United States and it offers a variety of products spanned over many industries, including semiconductor, telecommunications, consumer electronics, industrial optics, imaging, and display.

SUMMARY

The sale of the patent license to Hoya shows the TPL Group is continuing to bring in high quality companies to the list of licensees.

Patriot Scientific common stock is trading in the low $0.20 per share range, and the Hoya license should be a welcome announcement to shareholders. However, with the current general weak stock market this license could have little effect on the stock price. We reiterate our Strong Speculative Buy Rating and our price target of $0.55 per share. "
