You ask: "Is there a connection to Goerner's letter and the NuPower PR and this USPTO action?"

IMO, yes. MONEY. RG's planned M&A requires money, NuPower needs money, and successful re-exams will (sooner or later) bring us money.

NuPower. You guys need to re-read the PR a couple of times, IMO. No "reading between the lines" is really required.

PTSC and Nupower will be working together "exclusively". No TPL, IMO (though I understand that THAT is a natural leap), at least not yet (read the last sentence of the PR). Keep in mind that NuPower has already taken some action, so they may have already engaged a litigation/licensing team, or may even be "adequately equiped" internally.

It appears fairly obvious that NuPower needs money to refine their tech, broaden the scope of their tech, and obtain patents on the refined/broadened tech. It does say that PTSC and NuPower will be co-assignees of any new patents. Our share of existing patents is unclear, but it seems logical to assume that we may have "gotten a piece of that pie" in exchange for the commitment for funding. This assumption based on the "touting" of the existing patents/claims.

This deal appears to be along the lines of what RG has recently addressed. An equity interest, here (it appears) with some pretty direct involvement in the overall management of the non-technical aspects (commercialization).

Just my thoughts, for what they're worth - and I KNOW nuttin'!
