I'm not sure how any of the theories of what's going on matter.
Last Q's EPS was 2 cents for 16 companies = for an average of .00125 per company. The low amount of earnings per license and taxes played a part in this low EPS number. (PTSC no longer has any tax loss carry forward to apply to earnings.)
For the 4 Qs preceeding last Q the average EPS per license was .004
There are 3 business days remaining in this Q and we have 4 companies on our list so far. Using the averages from previous Qs our EPS could be 2 cents or less. That will drop our TTM EPS from 5 cents to between 2 and 4 cents. This may be optimistic. Our P/E ratio would rise accordingly. That matters.
