It occurs to me that the non-compliance would be an unlikely substitute for a request for delay being presented to the court if this is just a "delay tactic", not to mention displeasing to the court.

It also seems that an ignoring of the court by both sides would be too coincidental.

Now let's see......according to the above thoughts, it isn't a delay tactic and it's not accidental. What's left? Maybe a settlement in the works? Sounds good to me.
