I don't know... The most believable theory I have read is TPL and the Js decided to settle after the SC decided to hear Quanta/LG.. 'we all agree to this payment and it is settled'... no more paying the absurd attorney fees thru trial & certain appeal while everything could eventually be turned head over heals by the Supreme's decision..

It could be as I have speculated before that the Js are assisting TPL/PTSC in some other endeavor.. such as with the reexams or something with ARM in leu of cash.. I'm sure the Js would not want ARM to know anything about that.. pure speculation. I don't think the Js settlement is part of something nefarious.. I certainly hope not.. I hope there is something else of value we will receive from them..

Obviously the RIMM payment becomes very important in reestablishing the MMP's validity in the eyes of infringers... but Lecky will probably try to bury it in the next Q...
