I believe someone posted that it will not extend the patent beyond 2015.

It seems unfair the patent owner is punished via the re-examination process. During the time of the patent re-examination the patent owner is not able to collect as much for licensing with the review shadowing the license negotiations. It would be more fair to extend the life of the patent the amount of time it takes to review and revalidate the patent IMO.
