I like the idea. All I think we need is an experienced patent litigator to look over our situation, advise and answer questions as best as he can. Of course he will not have all the answers but any extra information at this point would be worth a few extra bucks. There are many experienced patent litigators in San Diego. There are big boys like
Morrison & Foerster

Paul Hastings

and smaller botique firms and solo practitioners like:

I would think a smaller firm or sole praticitioner would suit our purposes. Most of these guys charge abut $350 per hour and I would anticipate needing $5000 for a retainer. Once the atttoney is retained we would basically request that he look over our lawsuits and give us his general overview of our situation. We could also compile a list of more specific questions for him to answer. Any and all shareholders are welcome to join the "club" for a fee ($50 unless we do not get enough interest then we may have to charge more). We could schedule local group meetings with the attorney and correspond by email or newsletter to non local members. I would be happy to help with retaining the attorney (something I know a little about) but will have to leave to someone else to set up the club and determine the level of interest and coordinate payments...etc. If that happens and anyone wants my help, just let me know.
