Sounds like a discussion that could happen in our home EXCEPT I've already invested EVERYTHING - ALL avaible funds in PTSC.  I've also shown her that we're now down $88K and, incredibly, she said the same thing as your wife, "I love you."  And that's after 42 years.  Boy, we're sure lucky and blessed!
