Yes, such data would support a pursuit of ongoing royalties. And yes, such data would serve as a basis for determining "damages" towarding figuring the cost of a license.
But I should say that IMO what is more likely in play is "payment for license upon an event (USPTO)" over the prospect of royalties. One main reason is that I believe if there were ongoing royalties in play, there would have been some statement or note in the 10Q; after all, in that case, there would definitely be an income expected (deserving mention) at some point and in some amount. In the scenario of my delusions, "payment for license upon an event (USPTO)", there is no date certain, no monies certain, nothing certain, nothing definite - so silence in the 10Q would make some sense.
