Some of you I know have recently transferred funds into your account to buy more shares. Yesterday I transfered funds and today it shows as cash available for trading. However, when I place a trade I get a notification that " Funds are not available for this transaction of a non-marginable security." Upon further looking, the fine print on my funds transfer says they will hold my money for three days before I can purchase a non-marginable security. Has anyone been able to over come this restriction by talking to an account representative? This is a TDAmeritrade account.
