The Texas court settlement brought two separate settlement pacers. The one for NEC America is clear cut. But the one for Matsushita and Toshiba contains a Memorandum of Understanding and the court will insure that settlement terms are adhered to. IMHO this does sound like some sort of a deal beyond cash.

Just so happens that Matsushita and Toshiba are JV partners in a company called IPS Alpha, which is expanding LCD production and talking of possibly OLED to counter Sony. What's the possibility? Here is info on IPS Alpha. Opty
