I've been pondering the question of what the examiner does when he/she is not sure about whether or not the patent owners explanation holds water. Is is all on him/her to decide? Is there a knowledge center he/she bounces it off of? Can the examiner elicit the help of other examiners? Or when in doubt, go with path of least resistance? Anyone know? Opty
